Absences/Tardiness
Please make sure your child is present at school and on time. Learning begins promptly in the morning and when your child is tardy, they are missing important directions, skill review, or community building. Unnecessary absences lead to gaps in learning and difficulty understanding new material.

RespectIt is my firm belief that all students have a right to feel safe, comfortable and supported at school. It is only in an environment like this, that students feel comfortable to take risks and grow as learners. We will talk at length this year about the importance of working together cooperatively, being kind to one another and being respectful of the students and teachers in our school. I expect all of my students to treat their classmates and their teachers with respect at all times.
Behavior ManagementThis year we will be talking a lot about what it means to be "Ready to Learn." We will discuss behaviors that allow us to do our best learning and be apart of a respectful learning community. At times, students may be asked to reflect on their choices. Students will be supported by the teacher and student community in redirecting their behavior, so that they are "Ready to Learn." If students are consistently struggling with making behavioral choices that allow them to achieve their best learning, parents will be contacted and the teacher, student, and parent will work together on a plan to support the student.
